Prayer of the Day: Healing Lord, By your goodness you healed many who were ill, even raising the dead to life. Restor us to new life, healing our hearts, minds, and spiritis, so that we may proclaim praise and gratitude for your compassion to all who will hear. In the name of the one who is himself new life, Jesus Christ our savior. Amen.

Scriptures: Psalm 92; Luke 6:1-16
Prayer of the Day: Lord of the Sabbath, Your followers were told not to work on the Sabbath, and yet they boldly plucked grain to show that you are Lord of all. The world tells us not to rest on the Sabbath. Show us how to rest boldly, rejecting conventions that go against your will, and instead of praying and resting as you did on the mountain, for the glory of your word and work, Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Teach us to be proclaimers of your love to the nations, for the sake of the one whose name is redemption for the peoples, Jesus Christ our salvation. Amen.

Christmas Eve Prayer: Almighty God, you made this holy night shine with the brightness of the true Light. Grant that here on earth we may walk in the light of Jesus’ presence and in the last day wake to the brightness of his glory; through your only Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
