Prayer of the Day: Lord of heaven and earth, your one and only Son came into the world to free humanity from sin and death.  Through his sacrificial death on the cross of Calvary he revealed his true identity to those who would see. Give us faith to see and know that Jesus is Lord, and to tell the world the good news of his life, death, and resurrection from the dead for humanity’s sake.  Let us proclaim, “He truly is the Son of God,” to a hurting world and may all people come to know your abiding grace and mercy.  We pray this in Jesus’ holy name.  Amen.
