Scriptures: Mark 10:42-45; 1 Kings 12:1-17
Prayer of the Day: Mighty God, your servant Rehoboam divided your kingdom with his tyranny, yet you remained faithful to both kingdoms, even in the midst of conflict. Show us your presence in conflict, and help us to resolve our differences, uniting this world in your name. This we pray in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Scriptures: 1 Peter 1:3-9; 1 Corinthians 15:12-23
Prayer of the Day: Lord Jesus, we confess we cannot believe in You by our own reason or strength or come to You, but Your Holy Spirit has called us by the Gospel, enlightened us with His gifts, sanctified and kept us in the true faith. In the same way He calls and gathers the whole Christian Church on earth and keeps it with You in the one true faith.  For this, along with the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life, we praise You and implore You according to Your promise to send us the Comforter that we might continue firm in this confession. For You live and reign with Him and the Father, one God, now and forever. Amen.
