Prayer of the Day: Merciful Lord, in the quiet of the night you sought a place of prayer. Calm our hearts from the busyness of the day that we may also seek you in the quiet of the night and open our hearts to you in prayer. Wear down our fearful barriers and teach us to trust in your will and to surrender in faith to your good and gracious will. Then help us arise to serve you anew, to delight in your will, and to walk in your ways. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
