Lent Midweek 4, 2016

Scriptures: Ephesians 2:1-10; Psalm 51:1-10; Luke 22:54-62
Prayer of the Day: Heavenly Father, you sent your Son to know firsthand the troubles and trials of this mortal life. In our terrors of conscience and fear, our first inclination is to run from you and from being identified with your name. Give us peace in turmoil and steadfastness of heart under threat so that we may endure in the confession of your name. Quiet our anxious hearts and renew a right spirit within us that in the day of trouble, we may call upon your name and have courage. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Sermon: Luke 22.54-62
